Monday Link Party 64

Hello! I hope your Monday is going well. We are finally getting moved into our new house so we are doing grrrr-eat! (Sorry, I'm a bit sleep deprived.) I know I said that we would be moved in last week but I was wrong.

We unloaded the truck last Sunday but the new flooring wasn't in yet so we had to load it all into the garage. We were planning on staying there anyway but there were some hiccups with the bathroom remodel and when we got over there we found out that there was no toilet. I can do without a lot of things - carpet, fridge, stove, even the shower - but I have to have a toilet. So we continued staying with my parents for a few more days.  Saturday night we finally had a semi-functioning bathroom so we have been camping out there with our mattresses on the floor.

Today they are putting all new flooring throughout the house!  Which means we actually get to move in tonight! I know I'm using a lot of exclamation points today, I'm just so excited!!!! ;) It has been a long six and a half weeks and I am really ready to get settled in and return to normal life. I am looking forward to getting a fresh start and putting all of that bad stuff behind us.

Anyway, enough about our move. It's time for a link party! Check out my favorites from last week:

This Magnetic Ironing Mat from Thrifty Crafty Girl is such a great idea! I love the polka dot fabric too.

Check out this fun Spoon Sunburst Mirror over at Khadija's Creative Mind.

This DIY version of the Whatever Clock by Blooms And Bugs is a lot of fun and inexpensive.

This Paint Chip Dry Erase Calendar from Sew Fantastic looks really easy and is a great way to add some color to your office decor.

These Vanilla Chai Latte Cupcakes from White Lights on Wednesday look delicious!

Decorating Cents showed that painted cabinets look great in darker colors too with this amazing Kitchen Makeover. I LOVE that tile backsplash too.

Adoption Fundraiser

Say "Hello" to my sister-in-law, Jenny, her husband, Ryan, and their two kids, Ryker and Haylie.  :) They are in the process of adopting these other two adorable kiddos, Hannah and Reese:

An exact date hasn't been set yet but they are hoping to bring them home sometime next month! Before that can happen though they still have to raise about $9,000 for the remaining expenses. So they have started a  new fundraiser using puzzle pieces!

Check out the details below taken from their blog, Our Journey of Dreams:

How it works:
For $10, a person/family purchases 1 piece of the jigsaw puzzle pictured. We will write the name of the person/family on the back of the piece(s) purchased........like "big sister" is displaying above;) When all the pieces have been purchased we will put the puzzle together and display it in our home as a reminder of the support and love shown to us and our children during the adoption process.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of all of us putting this puzzle together as a family after Reese and Hannah come home. Just imagine them seeing ALL of those names of the people who wanted to help them come home! For two children who have never known the love of a family.......can you just imagine them realizing that 500 people cared enough about them to help???!!! I have a spot on my wall just waiting for this precious piece:)

You can purchase a puzzle piece(s) or donate to our adoption by:

1) Using the paypal "donate" link on the right side of our blog. Click and follow instructions
2) Sending your donation directly via paypal to rjrh_roark@yahoo.com
3) Sending your cash or check donation via snail mail to Jenny or Ryan Roark: 11813 Hadley Rd, Sumner, IL 62466

Thank you all SO much for being a part of our journey to bring home Reese and Hannah!

Please help us spread the word about this fundraiser by sharing this link: http://ourjourneyofdreams.blogspot.com/2012/04/puzzle-fundraiser.html
on Facebook, email, Twitter, or your blog!

The puzzle has 500 pieces and the potential to raise $5000 towards our adoption expenses. :)
