Lone Star Steak House Cheese Fries

Cheese Fries

I love the Amarillo Cheese Fries from Lone Star Steak House but we don't get to eat there very often so I came up with my own recipe. I think it is just as good as the original - if not better!

Ingredients:
Steak Fries
Seasoning Salt (I like Country Bob's)
Taco Seasoning Mix
Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (no other brand will do)
Bacon Bits
Cheddar Jack Cheese (I was only able to find Colby Jack this time)

Directions:
Spread the steak fries on a baking sheet in one even layer. Sprinkle with seasoning salt and bake according to package directions.

Meanwhile, in a very small bowl or dip cup, pour in some ranch dressing. Mix in enough taco seasoning to suit your tastes. Refrigerate until ready to eat.

Once the fries are done baking, transfer them to your plate. Top with shredded cheese and bacon bits. Microwave for thirty seconds or until cheese is melted. Serve hot with your ranch taco dip.

I'm not even going to add up the calories for these because I just don't want to know. They are so worth it though! :)

  1. This sounds delicious! I make our own fries/wedges, but this would be a very nice special treat.:) I think we're going to try it.:)

  3. Good grief, I'm afraid to make these but I don't think I'll be able to resist! Where did you find taco seasoning in a jar like that, I've only found it in those packets. We go through so much of it around here I need to buy it in the jars lol.
