(yes, our wedding colors were black, white and blue to match my blue hair. :) )
(And yes, I had a guy stand up with me on my side. He is one of my best friends, I wanted him to be a part of my wedding, and what can I say - I like to do things my own way!)
We have had an amazing five years together and I couldn't imagine going through this crazy adventure with anyone else. And it has been an adventure! We spent our first year together in a 12' x 20' efficiency apartment...
...we have had the joy and challenge of raising this adorable son of ours (and even managed to survive months of colic!)...
...we accepted a job offer that moved our little family two states away on only six weeks notice...
...and we have had a ton of fun through all of it and still love spending as much time together as possible!
Shelby, you truly are my best friend and I couldn't ask for a better husband. You have loved me unconditionally from the very beginning and in doing so, taught me to love and accept myself. Every day you give me something to smile about and be thankful for. I love you so much and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. I can't wait to see what other adventures God has in store for us!
Megan, Thank you for the last five years. It has been great to know that no matter what, you have been by my side. Even when I called you and said "we are moving to Minnesota". I am so glad to have you and our son in my life. I always thought that I had these great and lofty dreams for my life, then I met you and my life is better than I could have ever imagined. There is nothing better than holding you in my arms. Although we have had a great five years, and lots of adventure already, I am sure that we have great times and adventures still in front of us too, and I can't wait. Happy Anniversary!
