We had a big helper too!
He was SO proud that he got to help and kept thanking us for building him shelves for his toys. He really loves his new room and said that it is HIS room now. Apparently it had felt like it was still Mommy and Daddy's room but now he has officially taken ownership of it!
There is still a lot of work that needs to be done. The outlet has to be moved, the wall patched, the walls and bookcase painted, the baseboards cut down and put back in place, and I still need to get rid of the toys that are no longer being used. But for now I am just happy that I can finally go into this room without developing a nervous twitch! :-)
It's taking awhile but we are slowly getting things knocked off of our to-do lists. I will be so happy when all of the big projects are done and I can start focusing on all of the fun little details of decorating!
