Building Projects for Kids

Jeremy went to his first Home Depot workshop yesterday and built his own wagon. He had a blast and was so excited to show it off! Best of all it was FREE!!!

All Home Depot stores have projects on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month on a first-come, first-serve basis from 9am-Noon. On the first Saturday they have a selected project and on the third Saturday they have several different projects to choose from. The kids get a free apron and goggles. Each time they complete a project, they get a pin to put on their apron that has a picture of the project that they just worked on.

There is a similar program at Lowe's only their's is on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 10-11am. So if you visit both stores, you could do a project every Saturday morning! Registration is required in advance and the first 50 kids to sign up at each store get an apron, goggles and the supplies for their project.
